This is every word I say in Gay’s story, briefly (about two minutes), written out so you can read at your own pace, pause, print it, or read it again later. The numbers show where each part begins in the video.

A note about the picture: the person you see in the video is my AI double, speaking in my own voice. The words below are mine.

Hello, I’m Gay Carroll-Haring. For twenty-five years, I was a plaintiff’s employment lawyer here in California. I litigated for ordinary working people — folks up against employers with more money, more lawyers, and documents written to confuse them. That career left me with two habits I’ll never lose: read the fine print, and slow down when something feels off.

So, in the spirit of fine print: the woman you’re watching is my AI double, speaking with my own voice, recreated by AI from my recordings. The words are all mine. I’ll always tell you when AI is involved.

Here’s the part most people don’t guess. I’ve been the technology person in the room my whole life. Back in the nineteen-nineties, I helped build one of our state government’s first websites, while most offices were still buried in paper. New tools have always been my idea of fun.

Years later, at the height of my legal career, cancer came. And I made the clearest decision of my life: I chose my life. I closed my practice, and I kept one rule for everything after: only what brings joy.

And then I found artificial intelligence. AI expands me. It makes me more capable, more creative, and a happier person. I told my husband, Ray, that I’m in a renaissance. I feel like an artist who has finally been handed brushes, paints, and canvases. Ray, for the record, is still the better cook. He knows it.

So every Tuesday and Friday, on AI Made Simple for Seniors, I show people like us how to use AI safely, confidently, and on our own terms. And every week, I put a real scam on trial. I call it Exhibit A.

I’m Gay Carroll-Haring. You’re not behind. You’re beginning. And remember: staying curious keeps us young.
