The best proof isn’t an expert.
It’s your neighbor.

Something wonderful happens when one of us figures out how to make this technology genuinely useful — and then tells the rest of us. No jargon, no sales pitch, just “here’s what I did, and here’s how it turned out.” This page is where we collect those stories. Yours might be the one that gives someone else the confidence to begin.

Every story here is read and chosen by me before it appears — a curated shelf, not a bulletin board. Nothing posts automatically, and nothing runs without your permission.

Your voice. Your stories. Worth keeping.

Small wins, real lives

A growing collection. These are the kinds of everyday victories we love to celebrate here — and the kinds of stories we hope you’ll add to.

“It laid out my sprinklers”

A 76-year-old friend photographed his yard and had ChatGPT design the irrigation for his patio remodel — pipes, heads, sizes and all. Read the featured story →

Why we do this

Stories are how a community teaches itself

For our generation especially, the most convincing proof that something is worth trying comes from someone who reminds us of ourselves. An expert saying “AI is useful” is one thing. A friend saying “I used it to design my sprinklers and it worked” is another entirely.

Every story shared here lowers the drawbridge a little for the next person — the one who’s curious but cautious, capable but unsure where to start. That person might be your neighbor. It might have been you, not so long ago.

From Gay’s Desk

“I read every single story that comes in. Some make me laugh, some make me a little teary, and the best ones end up teaching the whole community something none of us knew. Don’t assume your story is too small — the small ones are often the most useful.” — Gay
